After browsing through numerous artists' blogs, I stumbled across Jana's Journal and Sketch Blog. Though I thoroughly enjoyed the work of many artists, I found Jana's work to be pleasantly refreshing. Her use of color and contour in her sketches are very appealing.

I think Jana's commentary also adds so much to her drawings. It's very interesting to see what the artist was thinking as she was creating.
I think you did a really nice job with the human figure for your negative contours--that takes some major concentration! I hadn't seen Jana's blog before. I like her work, but I like her commentary and her critiques of her work even more. I know the only way to learn how to draw is to do it (I'm just a beginner myself) but it's also helpful to look at other people's work and to read about it. Thanks for turning me on to her!
